At the Tower of #Babel (#Genesis 11:9), when man was prideful and sought to reach Heaven by his own power, God scattered humankind over the earth and caused them to speak in different tongues. At #Pentecost, when the #HolySpirit descended upon the #Apostles who had spent 9 days (a #Novena) in humble prayer with #mary supplicating #God, God granted them the gift of tongues to preach the #GoodNews to all mankind that #Jesus had come to save them and reopened the gates of Heaven. The apostles who had scattered in fear at the Crucifixion were now united in courage to #witness to #Christ's #resurrection, even unto death.![]()
