We’ve been celebrating Catholic Education Sunday by coming together with the community in different parishes across Singapore since 2017.
Due to COVID-19 safety measures, Catholic Education Sunday 2020 was a little different. All Catholic Schools in Singapore came together to celebrate Catholic Education Sunday online with a special livestream of Mass.
- Mass was celebrated by Rev Fr Adrian Danker SJ, Principal of St Joseph’s Institution;
- Mass readings were proclaimed by students;
- The Prayers of the faithful was read by parents, teachers, and religious;
- Student virtual choirs from our preschools, primary and secondary schools, and Catholic Junior College lent their voices to the Mass celebrations.
- A virtual choir made up of principals, teachers, and our religious community of priests, sisters, and brothers also raised their voices to God.
- A special Prayer of Blessings was written by Archbishop William Goh
